INFINI RF Microneedling

INFINI is the next generation of 3D fractional volumisation. Promising significantly less discomfort and downtime for patients, and suitable for all skin types, fractional radio frequency (RF) today affords better results for skin rejuvenation, scar revision and skin tightening than other popular procedures. As we age, our collagen levels deplete which causes the skin to sag as we lose elasticity. Radio frequency stimulates collagen production at deep levels of the skin, which gives an overall tightening and lifting effect, as well as improving the skin’s appearance on the surface.

What is INFINI RF Microneedling?

INFINI is a revolutionary technology that delivers real results for skin tightening and acne scarring correction. It targets coagulation zones in aging, sagging skin with fine wrinkles. Previous RF technologies frequently missed the therapeutic mark with there being difficulty in delivering sufficient radiofrequency energy to the dermis or at the right level in the skin to produce tightening effect.

This 2 in 1 Fractional Radiofrequency (RF) System provides complete control over treatment depth and energy levels to enable a multi-layered treatment approach with no electrothermal damage to the epidermis.

Micro needling fractional radio frequency (MFR) has fine needles which puncture the skin to deliver the radio frequency to the deeper levels of the dermis, providing a three dimensional delivery of energy maximising skin volumisation while dramatically reducing scarring and tightening of loose skin.

Superficial fractional radio frequency (SFR) employs a minimally invasive delivery of radiofrequency to the epidermis and dermis for resurfacing the skin and stimulating the production of collagen for a more toned and refined skin.

Benefits of INFINI RF Microneedling?

This microneedling system can be infinitely controlled, hence the name. The amount of energy can be controlled as well as the duration of the energy, coupled with the depth of delivery. The standout feature, which beats all other microneedling RF systems is the fact that unlike the previous RF systems, INFINI is insulated. Insulation provides a higher safety profile and faster recovery times but also targeted energy delivery.

Furthermore, as INFINI delivers energy from ‘inside’ the skin, and also because radio frequency is not attracted to the pigment in the skin (like some lasers are), the likelihood of pigment changes in the skin is significantly reduced. Therefore, INFINI is approved for all skin types, making this treatment among the best for patients who may suffer from pigmentation problems from other procedures.

The most common condition treated using INFINI is acne scarring. INFINI is ideal for tethered, boxcar as well as atrophic acne scars. Below are some other conditions that can be treated with INFINI:

  • Photo damage
  • Skin laxity
  • Large pores
  • Active inflammatory acne
  • Stretch marks
  • Hyper-hydrosis

Yes! INFINI treats acne scars through a process called MFR or micro-needling fractional radiofrequency. This system uses superfine needles to puncture the skin and deliver controlled radiofrequency energy to the deeper layers of the skin – where acne scars lie. Hence with it’s patented insulation technology, INFINI RF is ideal and safe for the reduction of acne scars for patients of any skin colours and skin types.

INFINI RF radiofrequency microneedling is the next step beyond CO2 Fractional lasers. Lasers use light as energy and they have to penetrate the upper layers of skin to get to the scars below. INFINI uses controlled heating through electrodes to deliver energy to the deeper layers of the skin and spares the upper layers from any damage. This translates to better acne scar remodeling than laser itself, as well as faster healing time following an INFINI treatment.

Moreover, acne scars in all skin colours can be safely treated with insulated INFINI. Laser treatments carry the risk of hyper or hypo-pigmentation as laser resurfacing works by pushing heat through the skin, potentially damaging the pigment cells.

Results from INFINI appear to be better than lasers for acne scars. It is postulated that the increased depths of the INFINI (up to 3.5mm) vs lasers (maximum about 1.8mm) seems to the difference. Also, elastin is produced in response to a RF treatment, but this is not the case for laser resurfacing.

A treatment can take as little as 20 minutes and up to an hour or more depending on the area being treated.

This treatment is well tolerated. Topical anaesthetic cream is applied 30-45 minutes prior to treatment to ensure that patient’s comfort levels are maintained

To get maximum benefits, the general recommendation is 3-5 sessions – And it really depends on the condition of your skin. The ideal interval between treatments is 4-6 weeks. During your consultation, you will be advised of the best treatment plan to suit your goals and outcomes.

Microneedling works by stimulating collagen. Elastin stimulation, as well as acne scar remodelling, is maximal at two to four months. The best results you will see will be approximately three months after your last treatment session.
