Acne: how I treat it

I have treated acne with AGNES radiofrequency since 2012 and offer AviClear, Gold PTT and the other options the acne library explains. My approach starts with the type of acne and the skin it sits in, not with a device.

Rolling, boxcar and ice-pick scars each need a different tool. I map the scars first, then combine subcision, RF microneedling, TCA CROSS and fractional laser as the map dictates.

How I assess before I treat

I look at the whole face and the whole history before I recommend anything, and I am willing to say no. Where a treatment will not do what you want, I will tell you, and where a cheaper or simpler option will, I will say that too. Dosing is conservative and reviewed: I would rather under-treat and see you again than treat to a deadline. The evidence behind each recommendation is on the page that describes it, cited to the primary papers, and I separate what the studies show from what my own practice has taught me.
