Sygmalift HIFU in Singapore
Sygmalift is the gentle HIFU here. Many fine points of ultrasound in the upper layers of the skin instead of a few strong ones deep, so it is close to painless, has no downtime, and can be set toward tightening the skin or toward slimming the chin and jawline. $1,200 a session, about an hour, or $4,500 for a course of five. Who it is for
The very young, who want a sharper V-line and a slimmer chin and to stay ahead of ageing, and whose faces have not dropped so a deep HIFU has nothing to lift. The very old, whose skin is thin, for whom comfort matters more than a dramatic change, and for whom a deep treatment is more than the skin needs. And anyone in between who wants no downtime and no discomfort, and the eye area treated, which is the one place Sygmalift is the stronger HIFU.
It is not for a face that has dropped. Jowls and a fallen neck need the deep treatment, Tightan 2, and I will say so.
Why Sygmalift
It is a very comfortable machine, and that is a large part of why people keep coming back to it. The results are gentler than Tightan 2, and what you get in exchange is a treatment you can have monthly without dread, safe around the eyes and on a lean face, with a fat setting for the chin and jawline that a deep HIFU is not built to do on purpose.
What happens
A consultation to plan the areas and the setting, tightening or slimming. Gel on the skin, no numbing. About an hour of passes across each area, warmth or a light prickle, eyes closed and protected for the eye area, then the laser over the treated skin. Nothing on your face afterwards. Sessions about a month apart; a review after the course.
Price
$1,200 a session, before GST, or $4,500 for a course of five with the review included. A single session is available and is what most people start with. The result is the sum of the sessions, which is why the course is priced below five singles.

Yes, including the crow’s feet, under the eye and the upper lid, with the eyes closed and protected.
How long does it last?
Around a year from the end of the course, with a single maintenance session every six months or so.
Sygmalift or Tightan 2?

Is it safe for thin faces and Asian skin?
Yes to both. On the tightening setting it stays in the upper layers of the skin, and the surface is not heated so there is no pigmentation risk.

Dr Gerard Ee, MBBS (UK), MRCS (Edinburgh), PGDip Practical Dermatology (Cardiff). He trained and practised in orthopaedic surgery at Singapore General Hospital and the National University Hospital before moving into aesthetic medicine, and is the author of sixteen peer-reviewed papers, thirteen of them indexed in PubMed.
