Who it is for
Jowls that have started to form, a jawline that has softened, a cheek that has slipped and deepened the fold beside the nose, a mild double chin or a neck that has lost its line, in a face that still has good skin. Most people who have it are in their forties and fifties.
It is not for a thin face, which deep HIFU can hollow, or for advanced sagging, which needs threads or surgery. For those faces I will say so at the consultation. If your face has not dropped and you want something gentler, Sygmalift is the other HIFU here.
Why Tightan 2
Three depths in one treatment: 1.5 mm for the skin, 3 mm for the collagen layer, 4.5 mm for the support layer that actually lifts. A pen handpiece that follows the jawline and the eye area where a flat handpiece cannot. And a fast treatment, which matters because a shorter treatment is an easier one to sit through. What happens

Back to work the same day. A review at three months to compare photographs.

How long does the result last?
About a year, sometimes longer. It builds over two to three months and most people repeat it once a year.
Does it hurt?
Moderately uncomfortable rather than painful, most over the jaw and brow, with numbing cream and the energy set to what you can sit through.
Is there any downtime?
None. Pink for a few hours, occasionally tender along the jaw for a few days.
How many shots is it?
The number your face needs at the depths it needs. Treatment is planned to your anatomy, not sold by the shot.
Is it better than Thermage?
It does a different job. Tightan 2 lifts a face that has dropped; Thermage tightens skin that has loosened. Many faces have both done, months apart.
Is it safe for Asian skin?
Yes. The skin surface is not heated, so there is no pigmentation risk.
Can I combine it with fillers or EMFACE?
Yes. HIFU first, fillers a few weeks later, EMFACE spaced around it, planned at consultation.
